Great Train Race Grades 6-7- 12:15 pm

Event Details

Join us for the first annual Great Train Race kids fun run! This event is the perfect way to kick off the summer on Saturday, June 13th, at the Train Depot by the OP Library.

Participants will walk, run, skip, or hop along a course that starts at the Train Depot and loops along the Rails to Trails path. Distances are adjusted based on grade level. After or before their run, kids can explore the OP Library inside and out, enjoy an inflatable obstacle course, backyard games, and crafts. Local fitness vendors will also be present.

Race Information

• All heats start and end at the depot.
• All participants receive an official race sticker and a commemorative medal.
• Grades 3+ will be timed for fun.
• No awards ceremony will be held.
• Runners in the UPK-K group must have an adult partner to run or walk with them (adults run at no charge).
• Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your selected race time to check in.

Packet Pickup

Race numbers can be picked up on the day of the event at the check-in table, or from June 8th-June 12th (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) at the Recreation Department located at Community Activity Center at 4520 California Rd.
