Hell Creek 100 - October 30 - November 1, 2026

The Hell Creek 100 event features several distances: THE PURE HELL 140, THE HELL CREEK 100-mile, 100k, 20-miler, and 10k. The event is presented by Ultraverse Supplements.

Starting Dates & Times:

• THE PURE HELL 140: Friday, October 30, 2026, 10:00 AM
• THE HELL CREEK 100, 100k, 20 miler, and 10k: Saturday, October 31st, 2026
• Start times for Saturday races: 100 miler at 6:00 AM, 100k at 6:30 AM, 20 miler & 10k at 7:30 AM.

Check-in:

• PURE HELL 140: Friday 9:15 – 9:50 AM
• THE HELL CREEK 100, 100k, and 20 miler: Early Check-in Friday 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Same day check-in available up to 15 minutes before race start.

Course Description:

All runs are on the Switchgrass Mountain Bike Trail at Wilson State Park. The 100-mile course has the most elevation gain and loss in Kansas. The trail is rugged, single-track with beautiful views of Wilson State Park and Wilson Lake. Races consist of 20-mile loops, with varying numbers of loops per distance. The course is well-marked and easy to follow.

Elevation Statistics:

• 10k - 442 ft
• 20-mile – 2,024 ft
• 100k – 6,072 ft
• 100-mile - 10,120 ft
• Pure Hell 140 – 14,168 ft

Aid Stations:

Two manned aid stations (start/finish and "Hell Hill") and one unmanned water station. Food (vegan options), water, soda, and electrolyte drink available. Hot food items at night.

Swag:

Includes shirts, drawstring bags, medals, buckles, coffee mugs, and beanies depending on the distance. Finishers receive a beer.

Awards:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in each distance receive special awards. Costume contest prizes available.

Cutoffs:

• 20-mile: 10 hours
• 100k: 24 hours
• 100-mile: 32 hours
• PURE HELL 140: 52 hours

Rules:

Pacers and crew are allowed at manned aid stations for specific distances. Strict rules apply regarding littering, cutting the trail, carrying water, and outside assistance. No refunds or bib transfers. Kansas State Park day pass may be required.

Deferral & Withdrawal:

Credit offered for cancellations prior to race start, with varying percentages based on timing. Credits are valid for one year and attached to the Ultrasignup account.
