The HKY 100 Mile Ultra Trail Race is an inaugural event for teams of 2 to 10 people and soloists. This demanding course challenges participants with over 15,500 feet of elevation gain, featuring a mix of double-track farm trails, single-track hiking trails, and paved sections. The course is well-marked for night running and includes various trail features like hills, descents, tight turns, roots, and rocks.

Entry Fee Includes:

• Entry into the HKY 100-M Ultra Trail Run
• HKY 100 hoodie sweatshirt
• Goody bag with swag from sponsors (while supplies last)
• Access to fully stocked aid stations
• Custom finisher award for all finishers
• Access to free race photos

Categories: Solo (Male & Female), 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 person teams.

Packet Pick-up:

• Pre-race Party: Friday, Oct. 16, 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm (Location TBA)
• Alternate Pick-up: Highland Recreation Center, Hickory (Oct. 15 & 16)

Aid Stations & Restrooms: Located at the Start/Finish and the corner of Goat Farm Rd & Aviation Trail.

Pacers/Crew: Allowed at the Start/Finish area or Aid Station. Only 1 Pacer at a time with the runner. Rules apply regarding assistance and drafting.

Drop Bags: Allowed at the Start/Finish and Goat Farm Rd. Aid Station.

Night Running: Headlamps or chest lamps are required for nighttime hours.

Dogs: Allowed if well-mannered and leashed, with runner taking responsibility.

Weather: Rain or shine event. Postponement/cancellation determined by organizers based on severity.

Lodging/Camping: Camping available at the start/finish area. Hotels and B&Bs are available in downtown Hickory.

Cancellation/Refund/Transfer Policies: No refunds. Race credits offered based on withdrawal timing. Transfers are permitted.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Deferral: 1-year deferral offered.

Race Rules: Emphasize no littering, checking in/out of aid stations, proper waste disposal, politeness, bib visibility, adherence to cutoff times, and no outside assistance beyond designated aid stations.
