Race #2 in the Wild Thangs Trail Series

This is a "cupless race." You must have a hand held bottle, pack or reusable cup. A RunningLane reusable cup can be purchased for $5.

The Wild Thangs Trail Series is designed for both new and experienced trail runners, with 4 races from June to August. Courses are spectator friendly with bluff views, mountain scenery, creek crossings, and waterfalls.

Aid stations will be provided with water, Gatorade, coke, GU, pretzels, m&m's, and granola bars. Marco's Pizza will be available at the finish line.

Volunteers: Work a 5-hour shift for free entry into a future RunningLane Event (1/2 Marathon distance and shorter). Work (2) 5-hour shifts or (1) 8+ hour shift for free entry into a future RL Event 50 Miler and down OR (2) races 1/2 marathon and down. Email [email protected] for details.

Registration

The race is capped at 400 runners. All runners receive a t-shirt and finisher award.

Packet Pickup:

• Jackalope 4 Mile, 8 Mile: Wednesday July 2nd, 2025 and Thursday July 3, 2025 from 12-5pm at the RunningLane store (2407 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35801).
• Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race from 6:00am - 6:45am.

Shirts, Awards, Weather & Cutoffs

The race shirt will be a short sleeve tri-blend shirt. Age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Average Temperatures: Low 65F-75F, High: 85F-95F.

Cutoff: 17 minute/mile for Long Series participants.
