Join the Jordan River Blitz Backyard on Saturday, October 17, 2026, for a unique running experience. This event features a 4.167-mile loop course along the scenic Jordan River trail system in South Jordan, UT. Runners can choose from three durations: 4-hour, 8-hour, or 12-hour Blitz.

What is a Blitz Backyard? In a Blitz Backyard, every loop is timed, and placement is determined by both the number of loops completed and the overall time. This adds a competitive edge, encouraging strategic pacing and mental toughness. Unlike traditional Backyard races, the Blitz format offers a fast-paced, strategic challenge.

Course Details:

• Distance: 4.167 miles per loop
• Elevation Gain: +45 ft per loop
• Surface: 100% Paved Trail
• Location: East River Front Park, South Jordan, UT

• 4 Hours: 16.7 miles, +180 ft elevation gain
• 8 Hours: 33.3 miles, +360 ft elevation gain
• 12 Hours: 50 miles, +540 ft elevation gain

Event Schedule:

• 4 Hour Blitz: Starts 7:00 AM
• 8 Hour Blitz: Starts 11:00 AM
• 12 Hour Blitz: Starts 7:00 AM

Registration & Pricing: Registration prices vary based on the duration and registration period (Early, Normal, Late). For example, the 12-hour Blitz starts at $80 for Early registration.

Awards: Finisher medals for all who complete at least one loop. A custom beanie for those completing 12 loops (50 miles). Top 3 male and female finishers are determined by distance and then cumulative time.
