Event Details and Schedule
The Kahakuloa Half Marathon and Relays benefits the renovation of the Kahakuloa Congregational Church, one of Maui's oldest churches. The half marathon starts at Fleming Beach in Kapalua and finishes in the village of Kahakuloa. The course features rolling hills and incredible ocean views, comparable to the Big Sur Half Marathon and recognized by Runners World for its scenic beauty. This is not an easy course, so personal records may be challenging.
There are two or four-person relays, with each leg ranging from 2.9 to 6.55 miles. Athletes are responsible for their transportation to relay leg zones. Relay hand-off zones are at aid stations 2, 4, and 6 for four-person relays, and at aid station 4 for two-person relays.
There is a strict participant limit of 200 for individual half marathoners and relays combined. The race begins at 6:00 AM on June 6, 2026, at Fleming Beach, Kapalua, following Kahekili Hwy to Kahakuloa town.
Packet Pick-Up: Held from 3 PM to 5 PM on Friday, June 5th, at the DT Fleming Beach Parking Lot. Picking up packets on this day is highly recommended to avoid race day congestion.
A limited 15-passenger shuttle bus will be available to take some runners back to the start line; reservations are recommended. Alternatively, arrange for your own pick-up at the finish line.
Participants will receive medals, t-shirts, other goodies, and breakfast with entertainment.
