Race Info

Kathy's Run for Cancer is happening from Friday, July 3rd to Saturday, July 4th, 2026, in Richland, MI.

The event supports local cancer centers and education, and aims to raise funds for their efforts, as well as a scholarship for nursing students.

Events

• 5K Run/Walk: Price ranges from $35 to $45. Takes place on 07/04, starting at 7:45 AM EDT.
• 10K Run: Price ranges from $35 to $45. Takes place on 07/04, starting at 7:30 AM EDT.
• 1K Fun Run/Walk: Price is $15. Takes place on 07/03, starting at 6:30 PM EDT. This event is not timed.

Location

RACE LOCATION: Richland Gull Lake High School, 7753 N 34th St, Richland, MI 49083. The start and finish line will be at the High School.

Registration & Fees

• Early Registration (Feb 1st - May 31st): $35.00 (1K is $15.00)
• Standard Registration (June 1st - July 2nd): $40.00
• Late Registration (July 3rd - July 4th): $45.00
• Family Discount: $3 off per person for 3-5 people.
• No refunds will be issued.
• Guaranteed tech shirt with online registration until midnight on June 23rd.

Packet Pickup & Registration

• Thursday, July 3rd: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gull Lake High School.
• Race Day, July 4th: Packet Pickup begins at 6:00 AM at Gull Lake High School.

Course Notes

All events start at the High School. The course winds through streets neighboring the Gull Lake Schools and the Richland countryside. Aid stations are available. The 10K route will be run on the 5K course twice.

Timing & Awards

Computerized timing with disposable chips provided by Mac's Sports Timing. Results will be LIVE on RunSignUp. Age divisions are detailed for awards.

Safety

Social distancing is encouraged. Bicycles, skateboards, roller-blades, or roller skates are not allowed on the course. Baby strollers are permitted. No dogs are allowed during the race.
