Race Info

The Katz JCC POWR 5K/1 Mile Walk for Parkinson's is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026. This event includes the POWR 5K Run and the POWR 1 Mile Walk.

Race Day: April 12, 2026

Race Start Times: 8:30 AM for the Run, 9:30 AM for the Walk.

Packet Pick-up: 5K participants can pick up packets starting at 7:30 AM. Walkers check-in begins at 8:15 AM at the Katz JCC Social Hall.

Parking: Due to limited parking, carpooling is encouraged. Use the Early Childhood lot, spaces parallel to Lillian Lefkowiz Drive, or the perimeter of the main parking lot.

Run Course

Runners start on Lillian Lefkowitz Ln., turn right at the JCC driveway, left on Kresson Rd., left on Cooper Run Drive, continuing on Cooper Run until a right on Hawthorne, followed by a left on Hunters Dr, then a left on Fox Hollow Dr. The course retraces steps in reverse order. Runners must remain on the sidewalk for the duration on Kresson Rd.

Event Description

Come support the Parkinson's Connection at the Cherry Hill Katz JCC by joining the POWR 5K/1 Mile Walk. The 5K run will take place on our picturesque, USATF-certified course through a local Cherry Hill neighborhood. Whether you are a seasoned runner or simply want to walk for a great cause, this is a race you don’t want to miss!

Since 2018, the Parkinson’s Connection at the Katz JCC has offered fitness classes and support groups for people with Parkinson's Disease as well as their caregivers and families.

Postponement Notice

The 2025 POWR 5K Parkinson’s Walk/Run has been postponed to Sunday, April 12, 2026. An Indoor POWR Up for Parkinson’s Party will be held on the original date from 8:30–10:30 AM in the Social Hall. Registrants can pick up shirts starting at 8:30 AM. All registrations automatically roll over to the April 12, 2026 event. Participants unable to attend may donate their registration or request a refund by emailing [email protected] by October 31, 2025.
