Race day check-in begins at 8am and the race starts at 9am. Free parking along Middle Drive. Finisher ribbons to all participants, place ribbons to Top 5 overall M/F/NB runners. Out and back course with start/finish near the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park. Gradual uphill on the way out and gradual downhill on the return. How long is 8K?? No one knows--just long enough to wonder why you didn't stop at a 5K, not as long as the pain and suffering of a 12K. Just the right amount...some would say.
