Description

The Kiwanis Adventure Run will be virtual and live. We are back in Honeymoon Island State Park! For the VIRTUAL 8K (5 mile) and 5K runs. You can run anytime the week of February 9th. Submit your results when you complete your run. Go to your profile on the run sign up site. The Kiwanis Adventure Run LIVE is an 8K (5 mile) or 5K course start and finish will be in the playground area at the north end of the island. Check-in begins about 7:00a.m. with the combined start of the runs at 8:30 a.m. A pancake breakfast is provided to participants, family, and friends.

Race Info and Registration Guidelines

• Overall men and women awards for the 8K (5 Mile) LIVE race and the 5K LIVE race.
• LIVE run is limited to the first 500 registrations.
• Registration will be closed on February 15, 2025 at 8:30 am race day. (Note: This date seems to be a typo, likely meant 2026)
• Complimentary post-race breakfast and refreshments.
• All registrations will be done online. No in person or paper registrations.
• VIRTUAL race results: Manually submit your time on your profile. You can also get a digital bib number.
• Proceeds benefit the Children of Dunedin and Friends of the Island Parks.

Parking Map and Directions (LIVE event)

Registration check-in, Start, Finish, and Breakfast at Honeymoon Island State Park. Parking is at the Oasis lot at the north end of the island. Follow the signs to Oasis Parking. The races start and end at the playground.

What you can expect

• VIRTUAL runners will need to manually record your time on the Run Sign up site.
• Print your certificate through your "my profile" page on the Run Sign Up site.
• Instructions for the LIVE run. No refunds.
• Race Day check-in starts about 7:00 am and continues until the start of the race.
• Simultaneous start for both runs (5 Mile and 5K).
• All turns are marked with and have course monitors.
• Water stations along the routes.
• Post - Race breakfast will be provided after the runs.
• Beverages (including coffee) will be available all morning at the drink tent.

Giveaways

• All LIVE registered runners will receive EITHER a finish medal OR a long sleeve tee shirt to commemorate the race.

Packet Pickup

• LIVE runs Pre-race package pick up is Saturday, February 14, 2025, between 10 am and 3 pm. (Note: This date seems to be a typo, likely meant 2026)
• Race Day package pick up at the check-in pavilion in the park playground.
• Post race packet pickup for VIRTUAL runners will be available after Wednesday, February 18th by appointment.

Age Groups for LIVE 2026

• 5K and 8K (5 mile) Men and Women: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66-70, 71-75, 76-80, 81 and over.
