Race Overview

Join us for the 2026 edition of Last at the Lake, a summer trail race that offers a challenge for every kind of runner. Whether you're aiming for endurance or racing the clock, this event has something for you. We’re offering two race options this year:

• Last Man Standing: Runners complete a 5K loop every hour, on the hour. The race continues until only one runner remains. The final runner to complete a loop within the hour wins $100.
• 50K Trail Race: A classic ultra: 10 loops of the 5K course. First runner to complete all 10 laps wins $100.

Both races start at 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

All participants will receive a finisher medal and race t-shirt. We’re limiting entries to 100 runners total, and registration fees increase after May 1, 2026, so don’t wait too long!

Course Details

The race takes place on the Turkey Run Trail at West Point Lake, Georgia. Each 5K loop includes:

• Scenic grassy trails along the lake
• Shaded single-track through the woods
• A short stretch of pavement (less than 0.5 miles)
• Approximately 150 ft of elevation gain per lap

It’s a well-marked and varied course with great lake views and natural shade in some sections.

• $100 for the Last Person Standing
• $100 for the Fastest 50K Finisher
• Awards for the top 3 male and female finishers in each event
