Race Info

Welcome to the annual Latitude-Fall Triathlon (previously known as the Bolivar Live) at Fort Travis Seashore Park located on the Bolivar Peninsula. This beautiful and historical property will the site for the Latitude Triathlon on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The swim will take place in the Gulf of Mexico with a protected barrier on both sides, the bike will take place on Hwy. 87 with an out and back route (Two loops for Olympic and one loop for sprint) and a run through a local neighborhood with beautiful views of the gulf. (One loop for the sprint and two loops for the Olympic)

This event is limited to 200 athletes; registration will be open until we meet that count. Enjoy a great after party with music, food, and more. This property offers a great play ground for the kids and a beautiful view for all. Bolivar offers several beautiful homes to be rented for a complete weekend of fun. Hotels are available in Galveston and Winnie for those not wanting to stay on the peninsula. Lots of great watching spots along all the routes for spectators. Special hotel rates will be posted early next year for Bolivar, Galveston and Winnie hotels.

Event Schedule

• 5:00am Transition opens and bike maintenance starts
• 6:45am Transition closes.
• 6:50am Pre-Race talk and swim line up begins.
• 7:20am Olympic swim and duathlon starts.
• 7:25am Sprint swim starts.
• 9:30am Post race party and starts

Awards

Overall top male and female, overall top masters male and female will receive awards. Tope 3 in age groups and relay teams (all women, all men, and mixed). Age groups are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 plus. Clydesdale (220lbs. & Over) 39 and under & 40 and over. Athena (165lbs & over) 39 and under & 40 and over will also receive awards. All athletes will receive a shirt (if registered before order goes in), finisher medal, and more.

Timing

This is a chip timed event: all splits will be include with transitions. Occasionally a split is missed due to a misread or improper chip placement. We apologize now if this happens. Chips will be given our at packet pick up and will be need to be given back at the finish line.

Cancellation

This is a rain or shine event. Occasionally weather can play a part in an event; if this occurs we will make all efforts to continue the event or eliminate segments so we may continue; however, your safety as our first concern. If the event can be rescheduled for any reason (etc, weather, or pandemic), you will be moved to the new date. If the event is cancelled there are no refunds.

USA Triathlon

This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event so a USA Triathlon membership will be required by each athlete participating. If you do not have a membership you can purchase one when you register. An annual membership for 17 and under is $10, a one day for 18 and older is $15, and an annual for 18 and older is $50. For more information please visit www.usatriathlon.org.
