License to Fly 10k

This will be the fifth running of the “Licensed to Fly” 10k. The proceeds this year will benefit The Coats Lions Club. This course will begin and end at the Senior Center in Coats. This is a USAT&F certified course that is challenging and it encompass some elements from the two former Souper Bowl 5k routes. The race is scheduled for Saturday May 9, 2026. The race will start at 8:00 a.m. and will be chip timed. Medals will be presented to the top 3 overall female and male. Age group medals will be given to females and males based on USAT&F 10 year groupings: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up. This race will be the first of a Harnett County series, partnered with races in Erwin and Dunn. Sign up for all three using the "Bundle" option and save some money! Bundle registration will only be offered until 3/31/26 when the registration for the first race closes.
