Lonely Mountain Ultra

Now in its 3rd year, the Lonely Mountain Ultra returns in 2024. This year it will be held on the October Long Weekend. We're excited to share that we've added a 100-Miler to the lineup, kicking off at midnight on Friday night (or technically Saturday morning, October 5th), while all other race distances begin on Saturday morning. Held on the iconic and inspiring Gaanha-bula Mount Canobolas, just outside Orange NSW, on the October long weekend this event will challenge runners of all levels: 11K, 22K and 32K trail runs, and ultra-marathons of 50K, 50M, 104K, and an all new 100 Miler along with kids events and a Lonely Mountain Ultra Relay. Runners will experience a dramatic course through the heart of the Canobolas State Forest, taking in fire trails, woodlands and open pasture, climbing to nearly 1,400 metres with breathtaking views over the NSW Central West. Set yourself a new challenge for 2024 and experience all the Orange district has to offer this October!
