Louisville H.E.R.O. Run/Walk/Ruck

The 3rd Annual Louisville H.E.R.O. Run/Walk/Ruck is a special event that aims to honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in battle and those who have lost their lives to the psychological wounds of war. Taking place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, this event is a great opportunity to come together as a community and show support for our veterans and their families.

Proceeds from the event will go towards USA Cares, a highly-rated charity that provides financial assistance to post-9/11 veterans and their families. Additionally, funds will also benefit the University of Louisville's Salute to Service Scholarship Fund.

In its first two years, the Louisville H.E.R.O. Run/Walk/Ruck had over 650 participants and raised over $34,000 for Kentuckiana veterans and their families. By joining this event, you will not only be supporting a worthy cause but also have the chance to learn more about local veteran organizations and receive a unique finisher's medal.

The event is family-friendly and will be held at the University of Louisville Cardinal Track Stadium, located at 2125 South Floyd Street in Louisville. The route will take participants around the beautiful campus before finishing on the track.

Registration is now open, with an early bird rate available until December 31, 2023. The early bird rate is $25 for civilians and $20 for military/veterans. After January 1, 2024, the registration fee will be $30 for civilians and $25 for military/veterans. Kids aged 8 and under can also participate in the FREE 100-meter run.

Veterans and active duty military can use the code "veteran" at checkout to receive a $5 discount on registration.

Packet pickup will take place on Friday, May 31, 2024, with details to be announced. On race day, packet pickup and registration will be available from 7:00am to 7:45am at Cardinal Track Stadium.
