Join us for Lumberjack Days 2026, a three-day festival of fun and flannel March 27-29.

Event Details

Run or walk the Silver Dollar Mile (beginning at 9:30 a.m.) or Flapjack 5K (starting at 10 a.m.) and refuel afterward at the Lumberjack Pancake Breakfast. You'll also receive a custom medal, lumberjack buff, OAC entry.

Runners competing in both the Silver Dollar Mile and the Flapjack 5k will take home a unique finisher’s medal, plus a lumberjack buff, OAC entry and enjoy a pancake breakfast.

Course Information

Each event takes place along the Dequindre Cut in Detroit – an out-and-back course that is flat and fast. The races begin at the Outdoor Adventure Center.

Contests & Prizes

Wear your finest flannel apparel or sport your best lumberjack beard – prizes will be given for Best Beard and Best Dressed Lumberjack (Adult and Kids’ Division).

• 9:00 a.m. Costume Contests
• 9:15 a.m. Kids’ Fun Run (no registration needed)
• 9:30 a.m. Silver Dollar Mile
• 10:00 a.m. Flapjack 5k
• 11:00 a.m. Awards - Top 3 Overall Male and Female Winners and top three ages 18 and under

Pricing

Silver Dollar Mile or Flapjack 5k: Early registration $35 until March 1st, then $40. $45 on race day. Online registration only.

Lumberjack Breakfast (includes 1 mile and 5k runs): Early registration $50 until March 1st, then $55. $60 on race day. Online registration only.

Pancake Breakfast (for non-racers): $5 per ticket.

Family Discount: $3/person discount for families registering 3 or more people at the same time.

The race is limited to 350 registrants.
