About the Event
The Mantario Marathon is a 2-day, self-supported trail run on the Mantario Trail in Whiteshell, Manitoba. Participants camp halfway at Moosehead Lake and complete a challenging 64 km course through boreal forest and Canadian Shield terrain.
The event is open to runners, walkers, hikers, and fastpackers. All participants must be self-sufficient and carry everything needed for the 2-day event, including camping gear. The trail is difficult to traverse and requires route finding skills.
Rules for the event include being self-sufficient, assisting other participants in need, and packing out all garbage. The event is free to enter and participants are responsible for their own safety and well-being.
Experience on similar trails and training with a backpack are recommended for participants. For more information and registration, visit the event website.
