Come Join us on Sunday, April 19, 2026! We are pleased to announce that the Maui Marathon, presented by The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, will return to Ka’anapali in 2026! All events will start and finish in Ka’anapali from the exact location as in the past, in front of the Outrigger Ka’anapali Beach Resort. The new Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K course will be an out-and-back on the Honoapiilani Hwy (Route 30). The 5K will remain the same course with no changes from previous years. For full marathon runners, this will be a flatter and faster course with ocean views along much of the course. On behalf of the Maui Marathon committee members, we are incredibly pleased to have the Maui Marathon back in Ka’anapali. We hope you will join us for the exciting return on Sunday, April 19, 2026!

Race Info

The Maui Marathon event is the longest consecutively held running event in the state of Hawaii, the oldest marathon west of the Mississippi River! It has been chosen as one of the top 10 Most Scenic Marathons in the nation by Runner’s World magazine (Feb. 96), and the #10 destination marathon in North America, by the Ultimate Guide to Marathons. More recently, our half marathon was voted the "Best Jaw-Dropping, Breathtaking, I'm-Never-Going-Back-to-Work Running Trips to Take" by Runners World Magazine (Jan. 2020).

Valley Isle Road Runners club members receive a 30% discount on entries for the full and half marathon distance (discount does not apply to 10K, 5K, Virtual race entry fees). Discount will be applied during checkout (current members only). Become a VIRR club member and SAVE! Mid Pacific Road Runners and Big Island Road Runners will also receive a 20% discount on the full or half marathon. Discount will be applied during checkout.

Event t-shirts will be ordered on March 15, 2026. After that date, there is no guarantee for a t-shirt or the correct size. Online registration closes at midnight on April 13, 2026. All Virtual runners will receive a shirt and medal after the event.

PLEASE NOTE: Event Insurance is available for purchase during the online registration process. It may not be purchased once your registration is completed. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances. Once we receive and accept your entry, the event will not issue a refund if you cannot participate and you may not sell your race number to anyone else.
