Mark your calendar for May 16, 2026, for a FUN "Month of May Themed" 5k Color Run/Walk! This event is hosted by the Downsville Central School Class of 2028 and is inspired by the spirit of May, celebrating everything from blooming flowers to holidays like Mother's Day and Memorial Day weekend.

The event is brought to you with the support of the Best Dam 5K team. Funds raised will go towards the Class of 2028, with a portion donated to a non-profit organization of their choice.

Race Schedule:

• 5K Color Walk: 9:00 AM
• 5K Color Run: 9:30 AM

Registration Information:

Online registration is available through Race Roster. Paper registration forms can be printed from the DCS website and mailed in.

Race Shirt Guarantee: Register before April 25th, 2026, by 6 PM to receive a race shirt. Youth, Men's, and Women's sizes will be available. Shirts may not be available after this date.

Pre-Entry Fees (Ends Friday, April 24, 2026):

• 5K RUN or WALK: $30 for Teens & Adults (13 yrs. & over)
• 5K RUN or WALK: $20 for Children (12 yrs. & under)
• 15% off for groups or families of 5 or more (at least one participant must be 18 or over).

Packet Pick-up:

• Day Before: Friday, May 15, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
• Race Day: On the day of the race during check-in. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your race start time.

Race Day Entry Fees & Payment (May 16, 2026, 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM):

• Fees: $35 for 13 yrs. & older, $25 for Children 12 & under.
• Payment: Cash or check ONLY.
• Race shirts and packets may not be available for day-of registrations.

Course Information:

The start line for the road race is at the Corbett Community Hall in Corbett, NY. Buses will transport participants to the start line from the registration and parking area. Participants must arrive 15 minutes before their bus time (8:30 AM for walkers, 8:45 AM for runners). The course is officially timed and features color powder areas every 0.5 miles. Colors are non-toxic and washable. Strollers are welcome (children in strollers are FREE). No dogs allowed.

Post-Race Awards:

• 5K Walk: Top 2 walkers (male or female).
• 5K Run: 1st/2nd men (13+), 1st/2nd women (13+), 1st/2nd boys (12 & under), 1st/2nd girls (12 & under).
• Awards ceremony at 11:00 AM or as results are finalized.

Refunds: No refunds will be given.
