About the Event

Event Details

The MedZou Ophthalmology Annual 5K Run/Walk is hosted by the University of Missouri’s Ophthalmology Department to support MedZou’s free clinic for underserved patients in Columbia, Missouri.

Date: Sunday, April 13th

Time: 9:00 am (Check-in starts at 8:30 am)

Location: Twin Lakes Recreation Area at the Twin Lakes Shelter, Columbia, MO.

Participants are encouraged to arrive early for check-in. Refreshments, food trucks, games, and raffles will be available after the race. Kids, pets, and families are welcome!

Event Purpose

To raise funds for MedZou's Community Health Clinic, providing essential ophthalmologic care to underserved populations. Funds will help purchase equipment like an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) machine.

Registration Details

Register online by March 13th to guarantee a race t-shirt. Registration remains open after this date at a reduced price, but without a t-shirt.

T-Shirt Pickup: Friday, April 11th, 2:00-5:00 pm at PCCLC Health Science Library, or on race day, April 13th, 8:00 am - 8:45 am.

Donations are accepted via the "Donate" tab for those unable to participate.

Course Information

The course follows the scenic MKT Trail to a turnaround point (1.55-mile mark) and returns to the finish line. A hydration station will be at the turnaround point.
