Milford Campus Bridgeport Hospital Mother's Day 5K Run/Walk, 3K - Walkers only and Kids Fun Run

For over thirty years the Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus has hosted a Mother's Day Run and Walk to promote wellness and health. All abilities are invited to join us as we celebrate this special day! Proceeds from this year’s Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk will support a new family waiting room for the Same Day Joint Replacement Surgery Center at Bridgeport Hospital's Milford Campus.

Our 5K chip timed Run (or walk) and 3k Fitness Walk ( untimed ) both begin and ends at the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital. You must RUN or WALK the entire 5K if you want to be computer timed and eligible for awards. Our 3K walk (1.8mi) is not timed. Our FREE, 1/10 mi Kids Fun Run is prior to the start of the 5K. All kids 5th grade (10 years) and under can enter this non-competitive (no awards) fun run. We encourage all levels of participants for all of our events. Join us for a great start to Mother's Day.

SWAG - All 5K and 3K participants will receive a specially designed shirt and plenty of food & fluids. Shirt size and availability can only be guaranteed to pre-registered attendees by April 26. After that orders must be placed to insure on time delivery. There may not be desired sizes on hand/leftover after that date. We might even run out! So please don’t miss your chance.

• 3K course: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7744679 (same start as the 5k, but proceeds straight on Seaside through the East Broadway intersection. It joins back onto the 5k course along the water at Fort Trumbull. We ask all 3K participants to be SAFE and use all sidewalks wherever available.)

The 5K and 3K courses are very flat and have scenic views as you travel past Long Island Sound. Our 5k course is accurately measured and well marked with mile splits. Both have a water table. Police and volunteers on the course will help keep you safe as you run or walk through the picturesque neighborhood. BOTH COURSES ARE WELL MARKED with arrows on the ground, turning sign arrows & traffic cones. The water table for both courses will be at the very scenic Fort Trumbull venue.

• 2/14 Registration opens
• 4/26 Guaranteed shirt size ends
• 5/3 lower fee ends, increases
• 5/4-5/10 EARLY Bib & shirt pickup outside at the front of Milford Hospital.
• Friday 5/8: bib/shirt pickup - 3pm to 6pm sharp!
• Saturday 5/9: 9am-noon sharp!
• Sunday 5/11: 7:45-9am Check-In, Bib and Shirt Pickup (online late registration if not sold out, no cash on site. Bring your phone!)
• 8:45am: Kids Fun Run - Two laps, safely, in the registration lot.
• 8:55am: Announcements
• 9:00am: Start 5K Run and 3K Walk
• 9:15am: Snacks and fluids
• 10:00am: Awards presented to the timed 5K participants

Awards: We offer a variety of gift cards & medals for Male and Female 5K champions as well as in age groups. Special awards for Mother/son, Mother/daughter teams. There are no awards for the untimed, 3k walk. Only 5k timed participants are eligible for awards.
