The MoCo Dems 5K Fall Fun Run is an event organized by the MD District 15 Democratic Caucus in Montgomery County, Maryland. This is a 5K (3.1mile) run/walk event for adults and youth to be held at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood, MD. This outdoor, fun and healthy gathering is to promote community engagement and voter participation in Montgomery County and our beautiful State of Maryland. Come on out, enjoy some great music by Bach to Rock DJs and have fun at the FunRun, where you can meet your Maryland elected officials and candidates for office! Our own Maryland Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller will lead the pre-race Pep Rally! Stretch Labs: Gaithersburg will lead the morning stretch! Don't miss out. Register to run or walk today! All athletic levels are welcome.

ARRIVE AT 8:00 AM FOR THE PEP RALLY WITH LT. GOV. ARUNA MILLER AND MORNING STRETCH! THE HORN WILL BLOW TO START THE RACE PROMPTLY AT 9!

All registered race participants will receive a race timing bib, race t-shirt (while supplies last - the guaranteed t-shirt deadline is 10/5/25), and race packet. See you at the race!

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

October 11 at Agricultural History Farm Park, Derwood, MD

• 7:15 – 8:45 am – Race Bib and Packet Pick up
• 8:00 – 8:45 am – Pep Rally and Morning Stretch
• 8:45 – 8:59 – Racers line up at start of the course
• 9:00 am – RACE BEGINS
• 10:15 - 10:45 - AWARD CEREMONY

Racers can pick up post-race snacks! Water, bananas and granola bars will be available for all race participants! ENJOY!

Pricing

• Adults - $35 (before processing fee)
• Youth - (17 years and under) - $15 (before processing fee)
• Youth under 10 years of age can either o Register as a participant and run with an adult, or o Race at no charge with an adult but will not receive a t-shirt, race bib or race packet

Registration Information

Registration is online only. Online registration closes on Sat. Oct. 11th at 9:00 am. We urge you to register online in advance to guarantee your timely arrival to the venue, and bib and packet pickup before the 9:00 am race start time. Registered participants will receive a race timing bib and race t-shirt (while supplies last). Youth registration is available for kids up to 17 years old.

RACER PACKET PICK UP

Race Bibs and Race Packets can be picked up Thurs. Oct. 9th, from 5-7 pm at StretchLab Gaithersburg, 113 Market Street, Gaithersburg Maryland Fri. Oct. 10th from 4-7pm at Potomac Community Center, 11315 Falls Road, Potomac, Maryland OR Race Day - Sat. Oct. 11 from 7:15 am – 8:45 am at the race venue, Agricultural History Farm Park, 18400 Muncaster Road, Derwood, Maryland

RACE COURSE + PARKING INFORMATION

Event Parking: Parking is available at the race venue. Please follow signs to the Visitor Parking Lot. After parking your car, follow signs to the race registration and race start location.

Race Course Information: The race course is a wide, natural trail traversing the park. There will be a water station at the 1.3 mile marker.

1st, 2nd and 3rd Place finisher medals will be awarded to:

• Fastest male finishers (18+)
• Fastest female finisher (18+)
• Fastest youth finishers (17 and under)
