New Plymouth Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon

Welcome! Thank you for choosing to enter the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon. Please note all participants must be aged from 6 to 15 years on event day.

Distances are approximate and are as follows:

• 6 year olds: 50m swim / 1.5km run
• 7 year olds: 50m swim / 4km cycle / 1.5km run
• 8 – 9 year olds: 100m swim / 4km cycle / 1.5km run
• 10 – 15 year olds: 200m swim / 8km cycle / 1.5 km run

Entry Options

• Splash & Dash - 6 year olds only. Swim and run.
• Individual TRYathlete - 7-15 year olds. Swim, cycle and run.
• Teams of Two - 7-9 year olds (Juniors) and 10-15 year olds (Seniors). One team member does the swim, the other does the cycle, and both do the run.

TRY IT ON fundraising programme

When entering the Sanitarium Weet-Bix™ Kids TRYathlon, a fundraising page for the Weet-Bix™ TRYathlon Foundation - TRY IT ON programme, will be created for each TRYathlete. TRY IT ON is a fundraising programme that lets TRYathlon participants fundraise so less fortunate kids from their community can participate in a Weet-Bix™ Kids TRYathlon™ event too! Fundraising is optional but we encourage all TRYathlete's to get involved. 100% of funds you raise will go directly towards supporting children in and around your local community.

How to create a School Group (School administrators only)

Schools are able to CREATE A SCHOOL GROUP that their students can link to when they enter. SCHOOL GROUPS provide schools with a number of benefits including the opportunity to win prizes, receive an official school TRYathlon photo, have a school marquee on site and give students’ access to the subsidised School Group TRYathlete Pack courier charge option. School groups must be created by an approved School Representative only. Limited to one School Group per school.

How to enter a TRYathlete

A) INDIVIDUAL ENTRY
Please select this option if the participant is entering the:
a. TRYATHLON as an INDIVIDUAL and is completing all three legs (swim, bike and run) of the TRYathlon by themselves. Individual participants must be aged between 7 – 15 years of age on event day.
b. SPLASH & DASH - This event is for 6 year olds only and consists of a 50m swim and 1.5km run.

B) TEAM ENTRY
Please select this option if the participant is entering the TRYathlon in a TEAM of 2. Team participants must be aged between 7 – 15 years on event day. Teams are limited to a maximum of two participants. One team member completes the swim, one completes the bike and they both complete the run together. Both team members must be in the same Team Category: Junior or Senior.

• JUNIOR TEAMS: Both participants must be aged 7-10 years of age on event day.
• SENIOR TEAMS: Both participants must be aged 11-15 years of age on event day.

HOW TO ENTER A TEAM

1. Enter the first participant and enter the Team Name when prompted.
2. If you are entering both team members, click 'Add Another Child’ at the bottom of the page. You will be taken back to the start to enter your second participant. Enter the same Team Name when prompted.
3. If you are not entering both team members, ensure the parent or guardian entering the second participant knows the correct Team Name you have added when entering your child.

C) JOINING YOUR SCHOOL GROUP

After you enter the participants details on the entry form, you will be asked if you would like to "join a School Group". Search for your School Group when prompted and click on the group to add the participant to it. When joining your School Group your School Coordinator will be notified that you have entered and it will help make your school eligible to win prizes. If your School does not have a School Group, then please continue with your registration as it will not affect your entry into the TRYathlon.

Registration fees

Prices are inclusive of mandatory charges, items, and fees FOR SCHOOL REPRESENTATIVES ONLY who are wanting to create an Official School Group.

• Individual TRYathlete (7-15 years old): NZD 48.00 (First 100 special Registrants), NZD 57.50 (Early bird), NZD 64.50 (Discounted Registrants)
• Splash & Dash (6 years old): NZD 48.00 (First 100 special Registrants), NZD 50.80 (Early bird), NZD 56.70 (Discounted Registrants)
• Junior Team Member (7-9 years old): NZD 48.00 (First 100 special Registrants), NZD 57.50 (Early bird), NZD 64.50 (Discounted Registrants)
• Senior Team Member (10-15 years old): NZD 48.00 (First 100 special Registrants), NZD 57.50 (Early bird), NZD 64.50 (Discounted Registrants)
