Norwegian Foot March
This event is a demanding 18.64-mile (30 km) endurance challenge designed to test discipline, fitness, and military heritage. Originating in Norway in 1915 to test the combat readiness of soldiers, successful completion of the march is a testament to both physical and mental fortitude.
Requirement Details
- Uniform: Military personnel are to be in OCP uniform with boots. Civilians should wear the civilian equivalent.
- Equipment: All participants must carry a rucksack with a 24.25lbs or more dry weight pack and have a minimum one-quart water source.
Time Limit
To earn the foreign military badge, participants must complete the march in the below time frames:
- 18-20: Women 5h25m, Men 4h35m
- 21-34: Women 5h15m, Men 4h30m
- 35-42: Women 5h25m, Men 4h35m
- 43-49: Women 5h30m, Men 4h40m
- 50-54: Women 5h40m, Men 4h50m
- 55-59: Women 5h50m, Men 5h0m
- 60+: Women 6h0m, Men 5h15m
Registration & Participation
- Official Participants ($10 Fee): A $10 sign-up fee is required for those who want their run timed and wish to receive a certificate of completion. This is the only option for participants seeking the Foreign Decoration Qualification. Please note that official participants have priority over free runners and all members that sign up past our 500 mark will be put on the waitlist.
- Free Runners (No Fee): Individuals may participate for free. However, Free Runners will not receive a Foreign Decoration Qualification, a certificate of completion, an electronic bib, or a printed certificate, regardless of their finish time.
