About the Event

Path of the Flood Historic Races

The Path of the Flood Historic races commemorate the Flood of 1889 in Johnstown, PA. Runners have spoken, and the event will continue annually!

Choose to experience the historic flood route with the 14 Miler or in smaller portions through the 5K or 8 Miler races. See the resiliency of the communities by running through Staple Bend Tunnel, the first railroad tunnel in the United States, and finish at the Old Stone Bridge.

This event is hosted in partnership with the Johnstown Area Heritage Association and the Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority. Proceeds will benefit local heritage and conservation programs.

Registration is open until May 10 at 11:59 PM ET. Special discounts are available for JAHA Members and Friends of the Trails.

  • 14 Miler: $66.25
  • Youth 14 Miler: Free
  • 8 Miler: $45.00
  • Youth 8 Miler: Free
  • 5k: $34.37
  • Youth 5k: Free

All registrations are final as refunds are not issued.
