Pelham Strong Walk & 5K

Join us for an exciting event that combines fitness, faith, and fun! Lace up your sneakers and get ready to run or walk for a good cause. The Pelham Strong Walk & 5K will take place at Pelham City Park. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just enjoy a leisurely stroll, this event is open to people of all ages and fitness levels.

Early registration discount: Receive $5 off your race(s) through March 31st.

Schedule:

• 8:00 AM - 5K Run/Walk
• 9:00 AM - 1-mile Fun Run/Walk
• 9:30 AM - Awards/recognition

Awards:

5K & Walk: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place medals will be awarded to the fastest times of both male and female participants in the following age categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

• Finisher Medal
• Individually Numbered Bib
• Chip Timed Event
• Event T-shirt (optional)
• Admission to the Home Run Derby

Virtual Participants:

You will receive by mail the medal (5K or 1M) and event T-shirt (optional).

Packet Pick-up:

• Pre-Race: Pelham Public Library, 2000 Pelham Park Blvd, Pelham, AL 35124, Makerspace on the 1st Floor, Friday April 17th from 1 PM until 4 PM.
• Race Day: Saturday April 18, 2026, starting at 7:00 AM near the start/finish line at the Pelham City Park.

On-site registration: Cashless (Credit Card Only).

Water Stations:

Located at the Start/Finish line and throughout the course.

Home Run Derby:

Starts at 10:00 AM, featuring competitions between Pelham Police Department, Pelham Fire Department, Pelham Rec Baseball teams, and an 18+ category. For every $10 raised, a department gets 1 additional second on the clock.

Cancellation Policy:

Entry fees are non-refundable. The event will occur rain or shine. In extreme circumstances, the event may be canceled, and entry fees will be donated to the Pelham Park & Rec Foundation.

All proceeds go to the Pelham Park & Rec Foundation to assist families with sports registration costs and equipment.
