The Pilot Hill 25K Classic is the oldest continuously run footrace in Wyoming. It started back in the 1970s, when local runners and university cross country team members began their summer training racing from Laramie to the top of Pilot Hill and back.
This race is held on rugged two-track and single-track trails, providing a unique experience as runners cross sandy flats, low-grade hills, and climb weathered limestone. The top of Pilot Hill, situated at 8600 ft, offers breathtaking views of the Laramie Valley and the Snowy Range of the Medicine Bow Mountains.
Following the race, enjoy food and refreshments at the finish line. Please note that this is a cupless race, so bring your own bottle or bladder. We strive to keep the trails clean!
The course will be marked clearly, and there will be two aid stations along the route.
The course cut-off time is 4:30 PM, and please plan to finish by 12:30 PM.
Awards will be given to the top 3 runners in various age categories.
