Rend Lake Marathon

The Rend Lake Marathon is a running event that includes a Marathon, Half Marathon, and Quarter Marathon. The course features paved paths, stunning views, and rolling country roads. The race takes place in Rend Lake, IL, a natural haven for wildlife and recreation. The course offers panoramic views of the lake, passes by beaches, marinas, and other scenic spots, and winds through beautiful vistas before finishing at North Marcum Beach.

Events

• Marathon: $100 (price increases after October 1, 2025); 8:30AM - 3:30PM CDT
• 1/2 Marathon: $70 (price increases after October 1, 2025); 9:30AM - 3:30PM CDT
• 1/4 Marathon: $50; 9:30AM - 3:30PM CDT

Schedule

• Friday March 27: Packet Pickup (5pm-7pm) at Seasons Restaurant at Rend Lake Golf Course, 12476 Golf Course Rd, Whittington, IL 62897
• Saturday March 28: 6:30 AM Packet Pickup at North Marcum Beach; 8:00 AM Buses Leave For Marathon Start; 8:30 AM Marathon Start; 8:45 AM Buses leave for Half Marathon Start; 9:30 AM Half Marathon Start; 9:30 AM Quarter Marathon Start; 3:30 PM All races closed
