Resolution Run 5k & Ultra

Join us for the annual Resolution Run 5k & Ultra on December 30th, 2023 at Sunset Park in Greenville, SC. This festival of races celebrates the beginning of a new year and bids farewell to the current one. The Resolution Run Ultra is a timed race on a 1-mile looped course, with options for 12, 6, and 3-hour events. The 5k race will take runners on a short segment around the soccer fields before completing 3 full laps. All races will end promptly at 7 pm and will be self-timed and recorded. Participants are asked to bring a unique cup/mug to place rocks in as they complete their laps. The event is walker, stroller, and dog-friendly, and youth 8 & under race for free. Participants will receive an Upstate Race Series shirt, finisher medal, custom race logo sticker, Upstate Ultra sticker, and custom race bib. Age group winners will be recognized in the results tab and our point series. All club memberships to the Upstate Running Club and/or the South Carolina Ultra Marathon Club fund the Upstate Running Club Youth Team with over 200 members. Volunteers can earn a free race entry or a future race entry by signing up for set-up, packet pickup, course monitor, meal/aid station prep, cleanup, or parking. Donations and club membership discounts are available. The course is a paved loop with less than 15 feet of elevation per mile. There is one aid station on course during the 1-mile loop, with items such as pickles, cookies, chips, Little Debbie snacks, assorted candy, chicken/veggie broth, fig newtons, and pretzels. Liquids will include water, Tailwind Nutrition, coke, and ginger ale. This is a cup-less event, so participants are asked to bring their own hydration vessel for use at the aid stations. Come out and bring in the new year with a few loose rocks!
