Run Like a Hero: 4th of July 5k

Join us for a 4th of July celebration, the Run Like a Hero 5k presented by Chico Striders and Chico Running Club. Race proceeds benefit Chico Striders Run Strong Scholarship presented to graduating high school senior athletes. Our theme this year is Run Like a Hero- wear your favorite hero costume or best Independence Day attire!

Date: Saturday, July 4th, 2026 @ 7:30am PDT
Registration: Available until 11:30pm on July 3rd. No race day registration.
Location: Sycamore Field, Bidwell Park, Chico, CA 95928 US
Parking: Vallombrosa Way, CARD HQ parking lot on Vallombrosa Ave or Woodland Ave
Bibs and Timing: Bibs provided to all entrants. Packet pick-up at Fleet Feet on Thursday, July 3rd, 11am-1pm, or race day at Sycamore Field from 7:00am. Timing by Chico Running Club.
Discounted Registration: $10 off for Chico Striders and Chico Running Club members.
Refreshments: Drinks and snacks provided after the race.
Volunteers: Needed! Sign up via the RunSignUp menu.
Race Insurance: Provided by a RunSignUp partner.
