The San Diego 200 is a 200-mile endurance event that circumnavigates San Diego County, showcasing an extraordinary range of terrain including coastal sections, urban corridors, rugged inland trails, mountains, and desert landscapes. It is a demanding multi-day undertaking designed for experienced ultrarunners seeking a true test of long-distance foot travel, resilience, and strategic execution.

About The Race
The San Diego 200 is intentionally uncompromising. Participants have 82 hours to complete the full distance, requiring consistent forward progress, disciplined pacing, and careful planning. The event emphasizes self-reliance, preparation, and respect for the environment, with runners responsible for their own crew, logistics, and decision-making throughout the journey. This is not a beginner event. It is intended for seasoned ultrarunners who understand what it means to move efficiently over long distances, manage fatigue and sleep deprivation, and adapt to changing conditions across multiple days.

Crew Requirement
All runners are required to have a crew. Unlike most 200s, the crew can meet the runner anywhere it is safe to do so. The first 100 miles travel through populated areas and it is possible for runners to self support at gas stations and stores. However, the second 100 becoming progressively more rugged with limited options for water and supplies. Crew will be critical in the second half of the race.

Entry and Pricing
During the reborn year, the race will be limited to 24 seasoned ultrarunners to ensure runners have a unique experience. Previous completion of a 200 mile race is highly recommended. Runners who have not completed a 200 but have other exceptional accomplishments will be considered. We want to make sure every runner has a fighting chance to finish. Applicants will be placed on the wait-list and admitted if they meet the requirements. Slots will be given on a first come basis, so don't procrastinate! The entry is modest compared to other 200s at $750 plus fees and taxes. We're doing this for the love of 200s and to showcase San Diego, so all profits will be donated to native American charity. The entry covers basic costs of the event, what we feel will be the sweetest buckle in 200s, and the donation to charity.
