Sawdust Races

The Sawdust Races is a running event taking place on the 4th of July in Cloquet, Minnesota. The event includes a 5K race and a 1-mile walk/run.

5K Race

The 5-kilometer (3.1 mile) loop course starts and finishes at Pinehurst Park in Cloquet, Minnesota on the 4th of July. T-shirts are guaranteed for all who register by 6/14/24.

Award Ceremony to follow race: 1st, 2nd 3rd Place Overall Female, 1st, 2nd 3rd Place Overall Male, 1st place male in various age brackets, 1st place female in various age brackets.

LaVonna 1 Mile Walk/Run

The LaVonna 1-mile walk/run is a FREE unofficially timed race for all ages on the 4th of July. Participants will start at Northwoods Credit Union and race down Cloquet Avenue to kick off the parade. Finishers will each receive a token of success. T-shirts are guaranteed for all who pre-register for the $15 T-shirt option by 6/14/24.

All race entries are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation, all efforts will be made to hold a virtual race.
