Join us for the 8th annual Shamrock 4 Miler presented by Roots Realty Group! The Shamrock 4 Miler is the 2nd event of the 2026 RunAbout Race Series. Join us at Blacksburg High School on Saturday, March 14 at 9AM.

The Lucky Leprechaun Dash presented by Adjust NRV is a 1-kilometer race on the Blacksburg High School XC course at 10:30 am. It is a free event for all the young runners!

For those unable to join us in person, the Virtual Shamrock 4 Miler allows participation from anywhere!

The race donates a portion of the proceeds to the Blacksburg High School Track and XC team.

Race Day Schedule (Saturday March 14)

• 7:45 - 8:50 AM: Packet Pickup on-site @ Blacksburg High School
• 9 AM: Shamrock 4 mile Start
• 10:30 AM: Lucky Leprechaun Dash presented by Adjust NRV Start

Awards

Shamrock 4 Miler: All finishers receive a commemorative medal.

Overall: The top 3 male and female finishers will receive an award.

Age group: Awards 3 deep - male and female - in the following categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-60, 61-64, 65+

Best Costume Leprechaun - wins a free pair of shoes from Blacksburg's amazing running store, RunAbout Sports!

Course Information

The Shamrock 4 Miler is on a clockwise loop course on Prices Fork Rd, Plantation Rd, and the Hethwood bike paths. Aid Station at 2.5 miles.

The Lucky Leprechaun Dash presented by Adjust NRV is 1 kilometer (0.62 miles) and takes place on the Blacksburg High School cross country course. The loop is all grass with some steep hills and tight turns.

Strollers are allowed on the road course. However, dogs are not allowed on the course.
