Siskiyou Out Back Running Festival

Welcome to the Siskiyou Out Back Running Festival!

Join us on July 11-12, 2026, high above the Rogue Valley for the 27th annual Siskiyou Out Back Trail Running Festival (The SOB!). Explore the Pacific Crest Trail, the Siskiyou Mountains, and enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Shasta and the Cascades. This non-profit race boasts a strong local community vibe while welcoming runners globally to our trail running mecca.

This year features a two-day festival format with activities in Ashland, including camping, food, music, and a variety of approachable distances and challenging courses, including the 100k. We've made some exciting tweaks to the 100k and 50k courses to showcase the best of the Siskiyous and the Ashland watershed.

Courses:

• 100K Course: Starts at Mt. Ashland Lodge, loops around the mountain, descends into the Ashland Creek Watershed, tours popular Ashland trails, climbs back to the high country, traverses the Siskiyou Crest, and finishes with a climb to Mt. Ashland summit.
• 50K Course: An out-and-back along the Pacific Crest Trail with some gravel road sections, offering beautiful ridgetop views and world-class aid stations. The 2025 update includes more of the Siskiyous, more views, and a finish at the top of Mt. Ashland.
• 15K Course: Starts at Mt. Ashland Ski parking lot, uses Forest Service roads to the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), heads to Grouse Gap and Willamette Meridian, and returns via PCT.
• 8K Course: Starts at Mt. Ashland Ski parking lot, heads out on Forest Service Road 20 to the PCT at Grouse Gap, and returns to the parking lot.

• 100K: Saturday 5:00 AM
• 50K: Saturday 7:00 AM
• 15K: Sunday 9:00 AM
• 8K: Sunday 9:45 AM
