Squatchy Leftovers Trail Race

Join us on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at the South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, NJ, for The Squatchy Leftovers trail race! You can register to run/hike a 5K, 10K, 25K, or 50K. We are supporting our non-profit partner, Bigger Than The Trail, with this Trail Party! BTTT provides cost-free therapy for anyone who needs it.

Race Details:

• Date: Saturday, November 28, 2026
• Location: South Mountain Reservation, West Orange, NJ
• Distances: 50K, 25K, 10K, 5K, 1 Mile Kids Run
• Charity Partner: Bigger Than The Trail (BTTT)
• Course Closure: Sunset (4:30 PM)

Course Information:

• All events use a 5K trail loop with approximately 289 ft of gain per loop.
• The course is a mix of carriage roads and technical singletrack with rocks and roots.
• Trekking poles are allowed.

Schedule:

• 50K & 25K: Check-in 7:15 AM - 7:45 AM, 8:00 AM start. 8 hr 30 min cutoff.
• 10K & 5K: Check-in 8:15 AM - 8:45 AM, 9:00 AM start.
• 1 Mile Kids Run: 9:00 AM start.

Special Programs:

• Charity Bibs: Commit to raising or donating $350 to Bigger Than The Trail.
• Hardship Entries: Available for those experiencing hardship, with potential full or partial scholarships.
• Discounts: Offered for active duty military/Veterans, hospital workers, teachers, Wise Elder Squatch Squad (over 60), NY-NJ Trail Conference members, and South Mountain Conservancy members.
• Squatch Kids Club: 15% off for youth under 19 with code SQUATCHKIDSCLUB, free entries available, and family discounts.
• Pacers/Guides: Available for participants over 60 and AWD (athletes with disabilities).

Refunds/Deferrals: No refunds. Deferrals are possible under specific conditions (injury, volunteering, pregnancy/adoption/postpartum policy).
