This event is held in loving memory of Sophia, who passed away at the age of 15 due to mental health struggles. Sophia was a bright light from the Arab/Joppa area, known for her laughter, kindness, and wit. She and her twin sister Madelyn were inseparable on the Arab Knights cross country and track teams. Sophia had a special gift for making every runner feel included, and she was always near the finish line, cheering the loudest. Through this race, we hope to honor Sophia’s life while working to ensure that other families have access to the mental health support and resources they deserve. All proceeds go directly to Wellstone Inc, a mental health charity supporting young people and families.

Race Details:

• Walk or Run! There will NOT be any timing of the race.
• 5K Route: Starts at 9:00 AM in the youth baseball parking lot at Arab City Park.
