Event Details

Schools Offer Support (SOS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving members of the Birmingham Public Schools community through outreach, financial assistance, and volunteer activities. This annual race is their biggest fundraiser, helping to support families in need and teach students the importance of community.

Courses

• 5K Race: Starts at 9:00 AM EDT, Price: $30
• 1 Mile Run or Walk: Starts at 9:00 AM EDT, Price: $30

Registration & T-shirts

Registration opens March 2, 2026, at 9:00 AM EST. Register by September 11th to guarantee a Dri-Fit Tech T-shirt. Race day registration is available at 8:00 AM at the Pavilion in Beverly Park (Cash, Check, or Venmo accepted).

Awards

Awards will be given for various age groups in both the 5K and 1 Mile races, including overall male and female winners for the 5K, and top student finishers from each BPS school. The overall 5K male and female winners will receive a $50 Hanson's Gift Card.

Packet Pickup

Early Packet Pickup: Saturday, September 25th, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Seaholm High School (parking lot off Cranbrook Road).

Race Day Packet Pickup: Opens at 8:00 AM at the Beverly Park Pavilion.
