Embrace the heat and conquer the challenge at The Summer Meltdown Half Marathon! This event offers a variety of races through beautiful Texas parks, starting at 7am. The course winds through shaded trails, alongside rivers, and across rolling hills, with aid stations to keep participants hydrated. Bigfoot Running Company events are known for awesome medals, cool tees, high-energy staff, and a focus on participant experience. Snacks, refreshments, and music will be available at the race rally tent, with live awards announcements.

Events Offered:

• Kids Dash: Approximately 20 yards, for kids 10 and under. Not timed, includes tee shirt, medal, and pin.
• 1 Mile Run: For all ages and experience levels. Not chipped timed, includes tee shirt and medal.
• 5k Run (3.11 miles): Chip timed, with awards for overall finishers, masters, and age groups.
• Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles): Chip timed, with Bigfoot trophies for overall finishers, masters, and age groups.
• Half Marathon (13.1 miles): Chip timed, with Bigfoot trophies for overall finishers, masters, and age groups.
• Volunteer then Run 5K: A unique option for 15 participants to volunteer before running the 5K. Includes bib, tee, and medal.
• Virtual Run: Participate remotely.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Bigfoot Running Company offers various volunteer roles including Course Monitor, Aid Station, Finish Line Helper, Turtle/Sweeper, Packet Pickup/Results, Floater, Lead Bike, and Bigfoot Mascot. Volunteers may receive a race shirt, VIP access, a free future race entry, or a gift card.

Important Notes:

• Youth pricing ($15) available for 5k & Quarter Marathon for ages 12 & Under.
• Referral discounts and group discounts are available.
• Shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event.
• Races proceed rain or shine.
• Packet pickup is typically 1.5 hours before the event start time.
• Courses may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
