The Second Beach Open Water Swim is a signature highlight of the Vancouver Triathlon race weekend. Athletes can choose from three distances — 750m , 1.5km , and 3km — all set in the stunning waters of Vancouver’s iconic Second Beach. Whether you’re a first-time open water swimmer or preparing for race day, this event delivers a safe, well-supported, and scenic swim experience.

Registration and Cancellation Details

5% GST will be applied to your transaction at checkout. An online processing fee will be applied to your online registration. All entries include a commemorative technical race shirt if registered before August 21. Online registration will close at noon (PST) on Friday, September 5. All entries are Non-Refundable, Non-Transferable, and Non-Deferrable to a future event. This includes situations involving injury or illness. Sale or transfer of race entries/bib numbers is strictly prohibited. Participant ages will be calculated as of December 31, 2026. Photo ID is required at check-in.

Cancellation Policy

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Most event expenses are incurred well before race day (staff, marketing, shirts, medals, permits, deposits, insurance, etc.). For this reason, refunds cannot be provided. By registering, you acknowledge and accept the risk that if you are unable to attend—or if the event is cancelled—you are not entitled to a refund unless otherwise stated. All entries are Non-Refundable, Non-Transferable, and Non-Deferrable, unless otherwise stated. Sale and/or transfer of race entries or bib numbers is strictly prohibited. Participants with injury or illness are not eligible for a refund, transfer, or deferral.

COVID-19 Exception (If Applicable)

If the event cannot take place in 2026 due to COVID-19 restrictions, registrants agree to receive a 50% deferral credit. The credit may be used toward any MultiSportsCanada event in 2026–2027.
