Taskinas Creek Half Marathon - June 7, 2026
This year, the Taskinas Creek Half Marathon will be a "no frills" event, referred to as a "Hike-a-Half" race. The goal is to be inclusive rather than competitive, keeping entry fees low while offering a memorable event. This new twist allows for affordable events, with the possibility of future "Hike-a-Half" events if this race is successful.

What is NOT included (can be added at checkout):
- T-SHIRTS
- Lunch at the finish (light food, mainly fruit)
*PR Coaster Award: If you beat your previous time on the course (half marathon version), you receive a special PR coaster award!
FAQ Highlights:
- Do I have to hike? I would prefer to run. NO! You can compete as much or as little as you want. It is a tough race and just finishing is a victory. If you are speedy and want to challenge yourself, go for it!
- Why "no frills"? Costs continue to rise, and the aim is to keep events affordable.
- Will everyone get a finisher medal? Yes, finisher medals will be available.
- Can I buy a T-shirt on race day? Not necessarily. T-shirt ordering deadline is May 17th. After this date, shirts will be limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Unisex sizes only. You can add a T-shirt to your registration later.
- Any swag? Previous year's swag will be available at the finish on a first-come, first-served basis.
Race Information:
- The course will include a final 2 miles that are epic and tough.
- Registration is limited to 250 registrants.
- The course will include single track trails, fire road type trails, and a short road portion.
- Time limit for the race is 5 hours (with some wiggle room).

- This is a MOSTLY trail surface half marathon, a SMALL, LOW KEY event, and a HOT WEATHER half marathon (though much of the course will be shaded).
- Aid stations will have half marathon fueling foods, water, and electrolytes.

Aid Stations: Located at mile markers 3.1, 6.5, and 10.5 (approximate).
Packet Pickup: Starts at 6:30 AM on race day only. No race day registration.
Course Details:
- Mixture of surfaces: over half single track mountain bike trail, about 1 mile of pavement, and the remainder dirt fire-type road.
- Elevation is around 600ft.
- Rolling terrain and some flat single track.
- Features many scenic views.
T-shirt Deadline: Friday, May 17th. After this date, shirts are first come, first serve. T-shirts are NOT included in registration and must be added manually at checkout.
