The Big Gay 5K & 1Mi. Pride Stride

Race Information

Join us for the 2nd Annual "The Big Gay 5K & 1Mi. Pride Stride!" This event is a fundraiser for Rome GA Pride, with all proceeds supporting the local LGBTQIA+ community. We encourage participants to show their Pride and express themselves in a safe and fun environment.

Location: Ridge Ferry Park, Rome, GA

Events & Schedule

• The Big Gay 5K: Starts at 9:00 AM. Awards for top finishers.
• The 1 Mile Pride Stride (Fun Run/Walk): Starts at 9:45 AM. No awards, just for fun.
• 'Ghost Runner': Option to support the cause without participating in the race.

Pre-Registration:

• 5K: $30
• 1 Mile: $25

Day of Race:

• 5K: $40
• 1 Mile: $35

T-shirt Guarantee: Register by Wednesday, March 11th, to guarantee your t-shirt size.

Registration Ends: March 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM EDT.

Packet Pick-up

Location: GoGo Running, 1018 Martha Berry Blvd NE, Rome, GA 30165

Date & Time: Friday, March 20th, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Race Route & Parking

The 5K course is USATF-Certified, scenic, and fast, running through the Oostanaula River Trails. Parking is available at Ridge Ferry Park (Dog Park side).

Awards

Awards will be presented for the 5K race, including Overall Male/Female, Masters, Grandmasters, and age group winners. Special categories for Nonbinary participants are also included. No awards for the 1 Mile Pride Stride.

Additional Information

This is a rain or shine event. The race will be chip-timed by Wire2Wire Running, LLC.
