Race Information
The Derek Dexter Memorial 5K is held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Harrison Township, MI. This event honors Derek Dexter, who loved running and promoting the sport. Participants receive a t-shirt and finisher award.
Onsite registration and packet pickup are from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM at the West Playfield Shelter (next to the Nature Center) in Lake St Clair Metropark, 31300 Metro Pkwy, Harrison Twp, MI 48045.
Registration Details:
- Early registration (first 28 adult registrations): $28
- Standard pricing: $35 through April 11
- Minors: $25
- Onsite registration: $45 (CASH ONLY)
A MetroParks pass or a $10 day pass is required to enter Lake Saint Clair MetroPark.
This is a stroller and dog-friendly race course.
The event also provides scholarships to local high school athletes pursuing engineering with a passion for running.
