Event Info

Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking for a fun, healthy way to start your Independence Day, this event is for you! Stick around after the race to enjoy the Edmonds 4th of July Parade and keep the celebration going. All proceeds benefit the Chamber's programming and bringing great events to Edmonds.

Courses and Prices

• 5K: Price: $35.00. Price increases after March 31, 2026 at 11:59pm PDT. Early Bird ends March 31, 2026. Regular price $45.00. Late price $50.00. Race day price $55.00. The 5K is timed and prizes are given for the top three runners in each gender and first place finisher in each age category. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed if you register after June 10th.
• 1K Family Run: Price: $10.00. Registration ends July 4, 2026 at 8:30am PDT. $5 for kids 13 and under. $10 for participants over 13. Price does not include a shirt, but you can add one on at the time of registration. The 1K is untimed.
• Senior Saunter 1K: Price: $10.00. Registration ends July 4, 2026 at 9:35am PDT. Open to ages 60 - 120. The 1K is untimed.

Race Details

The 5K race route winds through the scenic streets of Edmonds and the Town of Woodway, culminating in a thrilling finish right on the Edmonds 4th of July parade route. The 1K distances head straight to the parade route from Edmonds City Park.

Beat Ol’ Man Brackett! For the first 50 people in the 5K to beat a costumed runner portraying one of Edmonds' legendary founders, you’ll earn bragging rights and a prize.

Win VIP Parade Seats! Register before June 10th to be entered to win 4 seats in the VIP Parade Viewing area. Winner announced at Packet Pickup on July 2.

4th of July Costume Contest: Show off your patriotic spirit! Prizes for the most festive red, white, and blue attire.

Allowed: Strollers. Not Allowed: Dogs or pets.

• July 2 - Pre-race packet pickup at Edmonds Chamber Log Cabin (120 5th Ave N, Edmonds, WA 98020) from 3:00pm - 7:00pm.
• July 4:
  • 8:00am - Registration and Packet Pick up opens
  • 9:00am - Costume contest
  • 9:30am - 1K Family Fun Run Start
  • 9:35am - 1K Senior Saunter Start
  • 9:45am - 5K start
  • 10:30am - Awards at finish line
  • 11:30am - Kids Parade starts
  • 12:00pm - Main Parade starts
