The annual Picktown Palooza Freedom 5k takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026 and is a fun family-friendly event to celebrate the birth of our nation. This event is a 5k run that begins at Victory Park and follows the bike path through Sycamore Creek Park. The route continues down Hereford Drive, turning on to Pickering Drive, turns around, and repeats the route back to Victory Park. The distance is 3.1 miles. So be sure to bring the whole family!

Important Race Day Timeline

• 7:15 a.m. - Race day registration and check-in opens
• 8:30 a.m. - Freedom 5K, sponsored by OrthoNeuro STARTS!
• 9:30 a.m. - Awards presentation (near finish line)

Awards

Awards will be given to the top-3 overall male and top-3 overall female finishers, as well as the top male and top female finishers in each of the following age categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up.
