The Great Root Trail Race

Love Never Ends presents the Great Root Trail Race at Big Cedar Wilderness Trails, located on the grounds of Mountain Creek Church. The trails wind through cedar and hardwood forest with dramatic elevation changes, offering views of Dallas/Fort Worth landmarks. The course consists of an 11.2-mile loop known for its challenging terrain, varying elevation, technical sections, and natural obstacles like rocks and roots.

Runners, Ruckers, and Hikers of all levels can expect a tough but rewarding experience in a beautiful, rugged natural setting. The rucking division requires a minimum weight for awards (Male- 30lbs, Female- 20lbs).

Packet Pick Up: Trailhead Running Supply (Flower Mound) on Thursday, March 5 (4:30-7pm) and Friday, March 6 (2-6pm). Race day packet pick up at Big Cedar.

Runners receive t-shirts and medals. Ruckers receive t-shirts and challenge coins. T-shirt not guaranteed if signing up within two weeks of race day.

Bring your own hydration bottles (cupless race), poles, and headlamps. Parking is free; cash donations are requested for Mountain Creek Church and Big Cedar Trails.

Course Route Details:

• The main race loop is approximately 11.2 miles.
• 11 Miler: One full race loop.
• 22 Miler: Two full race loops.
• 33 Miler: Three full race loops.
• Rucking Division: 11.2 miles with required weight.

Each loop has approximately 1500 ft. of elevation change.
