The HEART RUN Half Marathon & 5K /10K / Half Marathon

Race Information

The HEART RUN Half Marathon & 5K /10K / Half Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026. This event offers multiple race options to celebrate Valentine's Day in a healthy and active way. Participants can choose from a 5K, 10K, or a Half Marathon (13.1 miles). A Kid's DASH is also available, featuring a 200-yard TOT TROT and a 600-yard race for kids aged 4 to 11.

The event takes place at BOLSA CHICA STATE PARK, located at 17851 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, US. The Half Marathon is a mostly flat course with two laps around the park, extending to the Dog Beach and back. The 5K is an out-and-back course with the turnaround near the main entrance.

Events and Pricing

• The HEART RUN 5K: Price ranges from $40.00 to $45.00.
• The HEART RUN 10K: Price ranges from $48.00 to $56.00.
• The HEART RUN Half Marathon (13.1 miles): Price ranges from $72.00 to $84.00.
• Kid's DASH (:200 yard TOT TROT /600 yards Kid's 4 to 11): Price ranges from $28.00 to $31.00.

Prices may increase after January 19, 2026, at 11:59 pm PST for most events. Registration for the Kid's Dash ends on February 14, 2026, at 11:59 pm PST.

Race Day Schedule

• 6:30 AM: Race Day Registration begins
• 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM: February Festival Expo (includes Valentine's card making)
• 8:00 AM: Start of The HEART RUN Half Marathon
• 8:15 AM: Kid's Dash
• 8:30 AM: Start of The HEART RUN 5K/10K
• 9:00 AM: Overall Race Award Winners announced (followed by division winners)
• 9:30 AM: 5K Awards begin
• 9:45 AM: Half Marathon Awards Ceremony begins

Additional Information

Participants receive a bib, a 5K shirt or Half Marathon hoodie, and a custom finisher medal. Age group awards and top overall male/female trophies will be presented for the 5K and Half Marathon. The event benefits the Ware in the World Foundation, supporting various charitable causes.

Parking: $15 per car to enter Bolsa Chica State Park main gate. Free or metered parking is available in Sunset Beach behind the Jack in the Box at Warner and PCH, with a walk to Lot 25. State Park gates open at 6:00 AM, and bib/shirt pickup begins at 6:30 AM.
