The Original Bare Buns Fun Run 2026

Event Details

The Original Bare Buns Fun Run is running for its 40th year at Kaniksu Ranch, located 43 miles from Spokane, WA. This is a clothing-optional 5k course that can be run or walked. The course is an out-and-back on a pressed gravel/dirt road with a slight uphill on the way back and is part of the Buns Across the Border series. There is no additional charge for entering as a team; team sign-up is done onsite, and all team members must be individually registered.

Camping is available and reservations are recommended as campsites fill quickly. Meals will be served starting Friday evening, with entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. A Hasher Run is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

Kaniksu Ranch offers various amenities including a pool, swim spa, bocce ball, pickleball, horseshoe courts, outdoor and indoor showers, bathrooms, and a sauna. The ranch has been in existence since 1939 and has hosted BBFR, the premier clothing-optional race, since 1984.

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, and the top 3 male and female in each age group. Ribbons are given to all participants aged 5 and under.
