The Phrozen Jewel Run 5/10K

The I.S. Hankins F.A. Johnson Education Foundation, Inc. in conjunction with the Delta Xi Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc members are back to host our 8th Annual Phrozen Jewel Run (PJR), which benefits the Young Men of Distinction (YMOD) mentoring program. Your participation will ensure that this great organization can continue to help young men develop academically, socially, personally, and as leaders. This PJR race will host a combination of in-person and virtual athletes. All participants will receive a race t-shirt, and medal. Prizes will be given to the top three overall in person men and women and the top men and women in each age group. Runners and walkers of all skill levels are welcomed!

In-Person Schedule

• Registration opens at 06:45am and ends 7:30am
• Zumba Warm-up starts at 7:30am and ends 7:37am
• 5K Run starts at 7:45am
• Kiddie dash is at 8:45am
• Awards Presentation as soon as all runners have completed the course.

What to expect in this hybrid 5/10K ?

• Location: Physical Location: Jay Blanchard Park - 2451 N Dean Road, Orlando Florida 32817. Virtual- meaning no specific start and stop location. You can choose any safe location to participate.
• Date: Virtual/International Race June 14th - 21st, 2025. In-Person June 21st, 2025. (Note: The text also mentions June 6-13, 2026 for the overall event, and specific dates for individual events. The most specific in-person date is June 21st, 2025, and virtual/international is June 14th-21st, 2025. The overall event date range is June 6-13, 2026. This is a discrepancy. Using the overall event date range for startDate/endDate.)
• Distance: 5k is 3.1 miles, 10k is 6.2 miles.
• Tracking: Use Apple/ Samsung/ Garmin/ Fitbit or phone. Strava club available.
• Participation: You can walk, jog, roller skate, or run.
• Awards: In-person participant awards are given.
