Welcome to Sun Peaks' Trail Running Event - Top Of The World Ultra! Join us for an epic day on the trails showcasing the best of Sun Peaks, home to world-class ski runs, mountain bike trails, and incredible hiking and running trails.

The event takes place on the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc territory, situated within the unceded ancestral lands of the Secwépemc Nation.

Registration Includes:

• A $5.00 donation to the Sun Peaks Mountain Rescue Society.
• Finisher's medal and a custom finisher's cup.
• Finish line food/party.
• Aid Stations.
• Event bib number.
• Timing (not chip).
• 1,2,3 over all finisher awards.
• A super duper marked course and lots of fun!
• Draw prizes from donors and sponsors.

Courses:

• 50k Ultra: Features single track trails, technical accent and decent trails, forest service roads, meadows, and forests across all three mountains in Sun Peaks. Total elevation gain/loss: 1752M.
• 28k: Offers single track trails, technical accent and decent trails, forest service roads, and everything in between, experiencing the top of the world up to Mount Tod. Total elevation gain/loss: 1164M.
• 15k: Includes single track trails, technical accent and decent trails, forest service roads, and everything in between. Total elevation gain/loss: 673M.

Virtual Event: Available for those who cannot attend locally. Participants receive a finisher’s gift, and their event package is mailed.

• Opens: November 1, 2024
• Closes: June 20, 2025 (or when 400 participants are reached)
• Participant Limit: 400

Pricing: (Early bird and late bird prices available for 50k, 28k, and 15k distances. Virtual event pricing also listed.)

Important Notes:

• Cupless event: Bring your own reusable cup.
• Package Pickup: June 28 - Event Morning at Start/Finish Line (6:30 AM - 8:30 AM).
• Chip Timing: Finish times recorded via timing app.
• Parking: Available in P2 Parking lot at Sun Peaks.
• Drop Bags: Allowed for 50km runners to Aid Station #2.
• Crew/Spectators: Allowed and encouraged at Aid Stations.
• Gear: Poles allowed, trail running shoes and hydration vests required (min 1 litre water capacity).
• Awards: Medals for top 1-3 in each category.
• Registration Policy: No refunds, but option to transfer to virtual runner.
• Event Cancellation: Options include converting to virtual runner, early access/discount for next year's event.
• Gender Policy: Inclusive, all paces welcome, no podiums or gender categorization.
• Environmental Commitment: Cupless, reusable course markings, local sourcing, carpooling encouraged.
