We are excited to announce the return of the Trails To the Sky 50k/10k Trail Races coming at you on May 16th, 2026 at Voorhees State Park in Hunterdon County, NJ. Join us on some beautiful and runnable trails accumulating 900ft of gain throughout the 10k course and roughly 4500ft of gain in the 50k. The course takes you right by the observatory in the park housing one of the largest private telescopes in NJ. The 50k is a UTMB Index Race!

Race Day Timeline

• 7:00am - Check-in begins for both the 50k & 10k
• 8:00am - 50k kicks off (Please arrive to check in before 7:45am)
• 9:00am - 10k kicks off (You can arrive for check in between 7-8:40am)

Race Day Registration?

YES, online registration is open until 11:59pm on Friday. There will be race day registration via cash/venmo/zelle.

• 50k - $90
• 10k - $55

Course Info

The Course will be marked with Yellow Arrow signs at any turns. Along the course there will also be Orange small lawn flags. Porta potties will be located just off the course after you come through for a lap for the 50k. See Map

Aid Stations

There will be an aid station at mile 3 of the race and at the start/finish area as you complete each loop. Aid stations will consist of: Skratch Electrolytes, Skratch Chews, Water, Soda, Fruit, Variety of Snacks (cookies, pickles, pretzels, chips, etc)

Athlete Set-Up Area (50k runners)

When you come in for each loop there will be an area near the finish line where you can set up your belongings see course map. You will essentially cross the finish line and see our aid station and then be able to access your setup before continuing on the loop. There is space for you to set up an ezup tent past the finish line, but it will be first come first serve. We will have tents set up near the finish line so if you have just a bag/minimal belongings you can stash under our tents to access as well. The parking is right after the finish line, so due to bad weather we might be getting, you could access your belongings from your car (this is off the loops slightly or the pavilion we checked in at (further off the loop)

Bad Weather

There is a chance of bad weather Saturday so just be prepared with dry clothes, extra socks, anti-chafe (we will have Squirrel Nut Butter samples available at check-in

50k Loops & 10k Finish

When approaching the finish line please run up the left side on the grass straightaway. This will allow those who are looping through to make a U-Turn and then head back out on the loop on the opposite side to avoid confusion and collisions. We will have this indicated on race day as well.

Timing & Awards

Timing will be done using the Ultrasignup app so I will need to see your bib number as you are coming through for each lap and for the finish. Please have your bib number visible so i can record your time. This allows me to also be able to publish results right away once the race is over. We will try to have a live link available as well for the 50k. All runners in both races will receive a custom finisher medal. The Top Three Male & Female Runners will receive a Custom award as well.
